Why we changed our name to Proaction

Why We Became Proaction

When we started this company, we called ourselves Flete. At the time, it felt like the right fit: a nod to fleets, logistics, and movement. But as we grew, we quickly realized two things.

First, talking to fleets — our core customers — with a name that sounded the same as “fleet” wasn’t working. Try saying: “Your fleet can be more efficient with Flete.” Confusing, right? The message got lost. Instead of clarity, the name became a distraction.

Second, as our platform matured, so did our vision. What we’re building is much bigger than a play on words. Fleets and asset-heavy teams don’t need another place to store data. They don’t need another system of record.

They need a system of action.

A platform designed to help operators act faster, smarter, and with confidence. A platform that moves teams from reacting after the fact to proactively driving outcomes.

That’s what inspired our new name: Proaction.

From Reaction to Action

Over the last two years, we’ve worked alongside fleets of all sizes. We’ve sat down with operators, managers, and technicians to understand the challenges that keep vehicles off the road and drive up costs.

What we’ve learned is simple: success comes from speed of action, not just accuracy of information. Fleets need tools that make it easy to respond in the moment, not days or weeks later.

Proaction reflects that truth. It reflects the shift we’re driving in this industry.

A New Name, Same Mission

Changing our name isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about better reflecting what we’ve stood for from day one.

  • Helping fleets reduce downtime
  • Helping operators keep vehicles on the road
  • Helping teams work proactively, not reactively

Flete was where we started. Proaction is where we’re going.

Looking Ahead

This is more than a name change. It’s a milestone in our journey to build the first true system of action for fleets and asset-heavy teams.

We’re proud of what we’ve learned so far, and we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.

We are now Proaction. And this is just the beginning.
