Announcing: Crete United has partnered with Proaction to strengthen fleet management capabilities across its national network of local operating companies. As a national network of leading mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation specialists, Crete United supports customers through local leadership backed by national scale.
Crete United’s fleet includes nearly 2,400 assets across nearly 40 local operating companies. Managing inventory, maintenance, fuel, telematics, and field audit data across that footprint creates a complex challenge: the data exists, but it is fragmented across suppliers & systems and difficult to consolidate and turn into consistent actions.

Proaction has enabled Crete United to consolidate and analyze 234,600 source records from 37 datasets into a unified view of Fleet assets. Crete United’s local operating companies have also completed more than 1,000 photo-based field audits in the first 90 days, capturing condition, validating ownership, documentation, and disposition information directly from the field.
That multi-source verified data now supports Crete United’s fleet-wide replacement model covering all assets. Instead of relying solely on age or mileage, Crete United will evaluate vehicles using maintenance history, fuel activity, telematics, utilization, vehicle health, and field-reported photo-based condition to identify replacement priorities and make more informed capital decisions.
“Managing a fleet of this size across dozens of operating companies requires more than another dashboard. We needed a way to bring the data together, improve its quality, and turn it into actions our operating companies can use.”
— Jonathan Kamanns, Director of Fleet and Safety at Crete United
But visibility and better decisions are only the foundation.
Alternatives to Proaction were expensive legacy fleet solution providers or continuing to manage these processes through a patchwork of disconnected tools. Instead, Crete United is leveraging Proaction to bring disparate data and fragmented processes into one modern platform. This gives its team the visibility and operating support it would expect from a managed service without requiring Crete United to build a large internal fleet team. By connecting and verifying asset records with recurring telematics data, Proaction establishes efficient processes for the work that follows, from maintenance and repair to tolls and other fleet programs.
“Working closely with Jonathan and his team has given us a clear view into what modern fleet management should look like. It starts with trustworthy data and better decisions, but it shouldn’t stop there. We’re building toward a model where Proaction helps companies like Crete United to consistently act on those decisions by coordinating and improving programs like maintenance, collision, rentals and tolls with greater visibility, speed, and accountability.”
— Colin Knudsen, Co-founder of Proaction
We’re excited about what we’re building together and what it can mean for the future of fleet operations across the Crete United network.
