Decisiv and Proaction both support fleet maintenance workflows. Decisiv SRM connects commercial-vehicle fleets, service providers and manufacturers around service events, preventive maintenance and asset history. Proaction combines fleet software with optional Fleet Programs that provide a team to coordinate selected operating work. The decision is which software capabilities you need and who will handle the shop calls, driver updates, approvals and payment handoffs.
For a fleet already using Decisiv through its dealers or service partners, Proaction may complement that process. First identify what those partners already handle, then evaluate Proaction for responsibilities you want to delegate. A specific Proaction–Decisiv data connection must be confirmed; this comparison does not establish an existing connector.
What Decisiv already supports
Decisiv SRM covers more than repair-status visibility. Its applications support service cases, estimates and approvals, proactive maintenance, and asset service history with warranty and recall context. Cases can originate from fleets, service providers or connected triggers. Those capabilities matter when an asset moves between the fleet's own shop, a dealer and an independent provider. SRM Sentinel also supports provider selection and service requests with requested appointment times and contacts for updates. These are substantive service workflows. Proaction's optional execution should therefore be evaluated against the actual responsibilities your fleet and providers already cover. SRM Sentinel service requests
Compare software and operating responsibility separately
| Evaluation area | Decisiv SRM | Proaction |
|---|---|---|
| Primary scope | Commercial-asset service collaboration across fleets, providers and manufacturers | Fleet operations platform with optional execution through Fleet Programs |
| Maintenance workflow | Service cases, estimates, approvals, proactive maintenance and asset service history | Maintenance planning and service workflows connected to broader asset operations |
| Service coordination | Tools for participating fleets and providers to schedule, communicate and track service | An optional team to coordinate providers, drivers and agreed approval/payment handoffs |
| Related operating work | Service history, warranty/recall context and connections with fleet systems | Related maintenance, transport, registration, claims and other selected fleet programs |
| Implementation | Assessment, program design, onboarding and customer-success support | Configure fleet workflows and define the work delegated to Proaction; verify any Decisiv connection |
| Commercial scope | Obtain pricing for applicable assets, applications, access and services | Platform fee per asset per month, plus transaction-value fees for Fleet Programs |
Decisiv's fleet offering and engagement process support the scope above. Exact applications and service arrangements depend on the proposal. Proaction's software and execution responsibilities should likewise be defined in its proposal.
Follow one repair through the handoffs
Consider an illustrative multi-day repair: a shop sends a revised estimate, a part is delayed and the driver needs a pickup update. A useful comparison identifies who reviews the new estimate, who obtains the fleet's decision, who asks the shop for another update and who tells the driver when to return.
For delegated maintenance, Proaction can coordinate the provider and driver, review estimates and warranty coverage, bring decisions to the fleet under its approval rules, follow repair progress, validate the invoice and arrange payment. The fleet retains its operating decisions while selecting the follow-through it wants Proaction to own. Proaction maintenance and repair
Proaction's platform also keeps maintenance connected to the asset and related operating work. If the repair creates a transport or temporary-vehicle need, evaluate how that work is recorded and assigned. Ask the demonstration to show the completed handoff, including what still requires action from your team.
Decisiv pricing depends on the access and applications
The official overview and fleet pages reviewed September 9, 2026 do not provide one universal fleet rate. Request the current commercial scope for your assets and applications. Decisiv has previously described different arrangements for OEM-sponsored assets and other assets, so ask whether your fleet already receives access through a manufacturer or provider before buying overlapping capabilities. Its older published explanation is background, not a current quote. Decisiv asset access and subscriptions
If you use Decisiv's revenue calculator, test its downtime and utilization assumptions against your own operation. Returning a truck to service creates additional revenue only when demand, drivers and capacity allow; revenue is also different from profit. Apply the same standard to any proposed Proaction savings estimate. Decisiv fleet calculator
Proaction pricing and service payments
Proaction charges a platform fee per asset per month. Across Fleet Programs, Proaction's fee is calculated on transaction value. The proposal specifies the fee rate and calculation basis. Each transaction separates the underlying service payment from Proaction's fee so you can evaluate the total cost. Proaction pricing
Expected monthly program spend is estimated together and prepaid. Spending above that amount is invoiced; unused credits carry into the following month. Review the expected activity, funding requirement and fees alongside platform costs.
Proaction can coordinate a U.S. shop that can service the asset and accept payment, including a provider your fleet has not used before. Use an existing negotiated rate where available; otherwise the provider's standard rate applies. Proaction adds no additional out-of-network surcharge. The normal Fleet Program fee still applies.
Frequently asked questions
Does Decisiv already support preventive maintenance?
Yes. Decisiv documents proactive maintenance and service scheduling, alongside repair cases and asset history. Evaluate Proaction for additional operating responsibilities or fleet programs, rather than assuming PM software is missing. Decisiv SRM applications
Can Proaction work alongside our dealer's Decisiv process?
That operating arrangement can be evaluated during implementation. Identify the dealer's responsibilities, the fleet's approval process and any required exchange of information. Confirm a specific data connection before relying on automatic synchronization. Proaction integrations
When might our current Decisiv setup be enough?
If your fleet and service partners already schedule work, communicate reliably, manage approvals and complete financial handoffs, the immediate priority may be improving that existing process. Additional software or execution should address a defined gap.
What should we bring to a Proaction demonstration?
Bring a recent repair timeline, the messages your team had to chase, the approval rules and the final invoice. Ask Proaction to show exactly which responsibilities its team would take over and what the fleet would retain.
